Happy Lent!  We now have 39 more days to prepare for the greatest day in our Christian lives.  Use them wisely.  I have a very special Lenten challenge for you...attend worship every Sunday!  Do not miss it!  This time is the culmination of all we are as Christian Disciples...make it real, make it special.  See you on Sunday.

Today I offer up three new things for this Sunday:
1.  We will be having a VERY special guest witness on Sunday.  He is the number one athlete in the world in his area of athletics and he is a DEVOUT follower of Christ AND he is a member of our church.  Though he is a very accomplished athlete, he even has something more powerful to share this week.  He is facing a challenge that to many would crush them. Come hear how his faith is making him stronger.  Bring your tissues for this one!
2.  The world-renowned, dove-award winning group DOWNHERE will be with us in worship on March 27.  They will play a concert at 9:15 and then help lead our worship experience. This is a very special and rare opportunity.  Take advantage of this experience.
3.  This week is SECOND HARVEST - bring your food for the food pantry and donations will go to support the 20 Something MIssion Trip.
Bring your friends on Sunday to hear our special witness.  Invite your friends, family, neighbors, strangers and enemies to church this Sunday.

There are only 3 major things to consider for this week:
1. Tailgate – don’t forget to be at the tailgate this weekend? No children or youth education, unless you want to come early and help set up. It will be a BLAST! Bring your FRIENDS, bring your RELATIVES, bring your ENEMIES. This is a great opportunity to bring someone to church. It is VERY important that we grow Flowing Grace this year and what an awesome opportunity to do so. If you need additional flyers to hand out, let me know.
2. Adult Sunday School - WILL be meeting this Sunday at 9:00. They are going to continue on in the Old Testament, studying MOSES. REPEAT, the class WILL meet this week.
3. Children’s choir - children's choir will only be practicing on Sunday mornings at 9, and not Wednesday nights. If you have any questions or concerns, you may contact Annie Deline through email, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , or by phone, 630-485-1976. We are attempting to figure out a way to practice on Wednesday nights, but need some Flowing Grace people to step up and help practice at 5:00 on Wednesdays. Annie cannot be there at that time and so if you are willing to help, please let Annie know.

MISSING IN ACTION?
Have you been missing church lately? Now is the time to come back. There is no guilt, no bad looks from people. While most of you have been fairly consistent with your attendance, for those of you that we have not seen lately, we would rejoice to see you this week. AND if you have kids, THIS is the week to come back…as there will be a special children’s message! See you Sunday!

RALLY SUNDAY
Hey all. This week is Rally Sunday. There will be great games in the children’s Sunday School, stimulating Adult education and much more. We will have a special guest from the Batavia Apartments and a special spiritual survey. The theme for worship is LOST!

SECOND HARVEST
Please consider bringing new shoes and/or shoe gift cards for this week’s second harvest. They will be given to the Batavia Food Pantry to be handed out to children so they may have new shoes for Fall.

TAILGATE PARTY
Don’t forget that September 19 is our Tailgate party. This is a great way to bring friends to church. Our 20 something band is joining 40 days in leading music for the event. There will be prizes, games, great food and fellowship, as well as wonderful worship. There is no better way to introduce friends and neighbors to our worshipping community. We have already invited 8 families from our neighborhood and most seem genuinely excited that they were invited.

PRAYERS
Prayers are lifted up today for the beginning of the Fall season at Flowing Grace. We pray that we listen to God, praise God and grow disciples for Christ. Let this year be all about our Creator and less about ourselves!
Prayers are lifted up for Janet Fosnot as she recovers from knee replacements.
Prayers are lifted up for students, that they can share the love of Christ at school and that the youth at Flowing Grace continue to multiply.
Thanksgivings for Austin, doing well at college.
Prayers for all of those suffering with cancer.
Joy for the upcoming wedding of Katie Klinger and Stevon Phelps.
